Today is the last birthday I will celebrate for the month only this time, it will be from far far away.
Throughout high school, Katie and I dated cousins which was a good thing because we hated each other at first. They forced us to hang out and so the ex's do need some credit for that I guess.
After I split with my then fiance (gasp!) I moved in with her and another friend and we became even closer while she attended college. Katie got her bachelor's and moved three hours away for her job but I will raise a glass of wine tonight in her honor. :)
So, to my best friend Katie:
IT IS YOUR BIRTHDAY.
Period.
It is a statement of fact.
No exclamation point.
It's not like you discovered a cure for cancer.
