Hey there bandwagon

What day is it? I've lost track of date and time and I guess I should say that it's because of the baby but it's not. I finally jumped on the bandwagon and started reading The Hunger Games trilogy.

Kevin actually was the one that purchased the first book while we were in Wal Mart last week and of course I stole it from him has soon as we got home. I started it on Saturday and finished it on Sunday. It was such an easy, quick read that I couldn't put it down. It's by far the best book of the trilogy. I started Catching Fire on Monday and finished it that night, mostly because all I do is wipe poopy butts and watch Noah sleep so reading is an easy way to pass the time. (I won't give away any spoilers but chapter 12/13 is where it gets really good.)

I'm currently halfway through Mockingjay, the last book in the series and I'll admit, it's not my favorite. It seems pretty slow and I'm just waiting for it to get really good. Have you read them? Does it get better?

Swearsies, I'll join the real world again soon. For now, I'll be reading and anxiously awaiting the movie to come out so I can join the hoards of people in line to see it.

I LOVE this series - it is fantastic! The first book is, as you said, by far the best. The second is good and the third is definitely much too slow for my taste, but I liked it, especially after reading the end. Can't wait to hear what you think!

I joined too! I loved hunger games and can't wait for the movie. But I agree that it's the best in the series. I finished the first book in 2 days! But I've been reading catching fire for weeks now lol but now that I've read cheaper 12 I'm more excited!

I LOVE HUNGER GAMES. So much so it was caps worthy.

I'm still on the third book and have been reading it for several months now. I actually lost it for a couple of weeks. I really like it, but I'm not sucked in like I was with the first two... I also think I just don't want it to end.

Mockingjay was my least favorite too, and no, in my opinion - it never gets better. The whole book is super depressing, and really made me dislike Katniss as a character.

the first is definitely the best. i don't remember the second and third ones that well except that they aren't as good--didn't stop me from reading them all with eagerness!

I read all three in less than two weeks while we were moving... I get it.

I'm going to say this about Mockingjay: it's hard to read because it isn't happy. When I was reading, I was mad at first because of how dark it was. Then I realized that it's more about the realism. In life there aren't always happy endings and I actually appreciated that the book kind of says hey, this is what would actually happen.

I am probably the only person who just thought the books were OK

I love the series. I agree that the first book was by far the best. Mockingjay was probably my least favorite. It does pick up about 2/3 of the way through and then it gets really good. I'm still disappointed in the ending though, but it's a dark story so it still fits.

I love all things Hunger Games. The first book is definitely the best, and the third book does lag at the beginning but the ending is just so.... well, you'll see. You either love it or hate it. Have fun!

I've heard nothing but great things about the series. If I could find the time to read I would but you know I'm all over the place anymore lol.
