we then embraced and then middle-school-style slow danced to "Unforgettable" by Nat King Cole.
After Kevin and I had our first dance, the DJ asked if my dad would join me on the dance floor for a father-daughter dance. Of course he obliged. My choice of song? "My Little Girl" by Tim McGraw.
My daddy twirled me around the dance floor as pictures of us flashed behind us on a screen. He had no idea I put the slideshow together but I wanted him to know just how much he means to me. I'm his baby girl and always will be, there's no changing that.
My mom watched as we danced and more images of the two of us flashed by...
As the last picture came up, of the two of us at my high school graduation, he said in my ear: "you know you're making my eyes leak" - and again, I couldn't help but smile through my tears.
There wasn't a dry eye in the room. It was a magical moment I'll never forget. Dancing with my new husband was amazing but it's a totally different feeling dancing with my daddy at my wedding. I'm all grown up but forever his little girl.
Once the tissues had been passed around, it was time for the mother-son dance. Kevin and his mother hit the dance floor to "What a Wonderful World" by Louis Armstrong.
Finally, after all our "first dances" were done, it was time for our guests to shake their groove thangs! We invited everyone to the dance floor and things really got fun.
A couple of my guests told me they had a blast and I don't think I'd argue with them after looking at the pictures. My family knows how to party.

Oh my gosh, so sweet. The slideshows during the first dances have got to be the best touch I've heard of for any first dance at a wedding! I didn't do any first dances and now I kinda regret it. You looked beautiful!
